Ball Australia’s glasshouse facility

Ball required an expansion of existing operations to meet increased demand. After building its first phase in plastic, Ball decided to move to a glass construction for its stage 2 expansion to provide increased light conditions (96 per cent under glass vs 89 per cent in its plastic greenhouse) as well as lower maintenance and susceptibility to storm events.  

The new facility features multiple bespoke compartments as well as new motherstock areas and a 500sqm sandwich panel amenities area.
