The Western Sydney University project was based on a design brief from Wageningen University & Research in the Netherlands. Design features have included multiple compartments with differing technologies such as wet wall systems, continuous roof ventilation, insect cassettes and pad and fan compartments. Apex also designed and installed a custom roof repair and maintenance cart.
